Laytonsville Day Parade

It was a beautiful day for the Laytonsville Parade. Thank you to everyone who participated and attended. We appreciate those who had lunch at the fire station. Special thank you to the Laytonsville Lions Club, the Town of Laytonsville, the Montgomery County Police, and County Road Crews.

PIC at Route 108 and Hawkins Creamery Rd.

On May 14, 2025, at 4:27pm, Ambulance 717 and Rescue Squad 717 responded for the vehicle crash, on Route 108 and Hawkins Creamery Road. Ambulance 717 requested a 2nd transport unit at 4:31pm. Medic 713 was dispatched at 4:32pm. Rescue Squad 717 requested an additional ALS resource at 4:34pm. Paramedic/Engine Tanker 717 was dispatched at 4:35pm. On May 11, 2025, the members of the Laytonsville District Volunteer Fire Department will be holding their Mother's Day Breakfast from 8 AM - Noon. So, bring your moms, grandmothers, and great grandmothers out for a nice breakfast and support your local fire department.

New Brush Truck 717
Administrative Mike Russ, April 18
Deputy Chief Geoff Burns and President Greg Albrecht took a trip up to Pennsylvania earlier today to inspect our new brush truck. We are hoping it will be ready next week to be brought home after some minor adjustments are made. This will be a significant upgrade to our wildland firefighting capability.
